My name is Jenny and I am the proud momma of a very talented boy named Howie. My baby boy has just turned 11 and has been drawing since he could hold a pencil. When he was just 3 years old he was drawing detailed pictures of Thomas the Train. I knew he was born with a gift. Just like my mom, just like me. Well, more like my mom. I'm pretty good, but I think he has the talent to blow me away some day. One of his art teachers at school didn't know what to do with him a couple years ago because he was so far advanced with his talent. Yes I am one proud momma. So now I'll tell you how I came to start this blog. While shopping last week with my birthday boy, Howie wanted to spend his birthday money on a book titled '634 Things to Draw'. I told him "NO". I was not going to let him spend $17 on a book filled with blank pages that simply had 634 words on each page telling him what to draw. I told him that I could easily tell him what to draw and it wouldn't cost him any money. My wheels started to turn tonight. He loves the computer and has asked me many times to showcase his art online. Here is the perfect opportunity. I am going to start him here. His favorite number is 732. I will start him off with things to draw and as he gets followers, they can start to give him ideas for things to draw until he reaches that magic number of 732. I will post all of his drawings on here for all to see his God given talent. You will be amazed. He is full of surprises too. I'll also post some of his past artwork or anything he brings home from school. He doodles a lot! He brings home more drawings than he does schoolwork. His current passion is skulls, we'll see where his passion lies by the end of this adventure. Let the drawing begin...

Howie's Dream Car
Friday, April 1, 2011
And so we begin...
So here is our first post. Howie was so excited when I told him about my idea tonight. I gave him his first idea. I told him to draw me his dream car. Over the weekend I'll post some of his older drawings and some more recent ones too. He's been drawing up a storm lately. Well, I guess he always is. Drawing is his thing. Give him paper and a pencil and he's a happy kid. Last weekend we went to the pottery place and he did a cool skull mug. I pick it up on Sunday and will be sure to post a picture of it. I sure hope this takes off and he builds up fans. Spread the word!!
